Tonight we had supper at Bar Tartine, a few steps from our house in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. It is the “restaurant version†of the famous Tartine bakery-pastry shop on Guerrero street. Let me tell you how it went …
It was an impulsive decision, very last minute. At 6:15 I called the restaurant and they gave us a reservation for 6:30. Just enough time for showers fast and to appear in the premises.
We have requested many appetizers and a second to share. Olives ($4 by a hot olive subject of gossip, takes already), dates, cheese of goat of Murcia with quince and a salad of calamaries like appetizer. Of second a fillet in rodajas with cream Cabrales cheese. In short, very to the Spanish, as it is seen, but without previous intention of which thus outside.
The truely spectacular thing has been the desserts. A tartina of chocolate Berger with ice cream of the Coco and caramel. Exquisite. The ice cream of vanilla with espresso did not remain short either.
Another curiosity has been one of drinks: soda water accompanied by a chorrito of Pinot Noir.

Then, after writing all this I realize the important thing that it is the presentation and the predisposition in everything. In the kitchen more if it fits.
