Both Juanjo and I have been working a lot this week, him working late coding and making phone calls to California, and me spending time in the library and at my desk at home. These are another couple pictures from the library in Barcelona where I’ve been spending my time, at the Pompeu Fabra University. Yesterday after lunch I biked to campus, then Juanjo took a run and met me and we biked home together. Barcelona’s a really great city for biking, the weather is nice, and there are a lot of bike lanes. (Another post soon about the city-wide bike loan system, it’s really neat!)
Time to start my workday now, but I leave you with two questions: What are you reading right now? And how many books a year do you think you read? I read a New York Times article this morning about a lady that has read a book a day for nearly a year (and written reviews about them on her blog). It got me thinking about how I read less than I used to, and how I’d like to read more. I’m currently reading a Spanish novel called “La Mano de Fatima”, and I probably read about 50-60 books a year, not counting professional reading (have never really kept track). What about you?
My goodness, such a beautiful library, you are truly blessed! As you know I am currently reading the Twilight Series, and really trying to make reading for pleasure a part of my day. A book a day isn’t so far off for me, (I am a very fast reader) that is, if I wasn’t in school and didn’t have my favorite shows 😉 But I am really trying to read more……possibly we could do a book club thing? Write about it in our blogs? Just a thought on one more way to get more connected 😉 xoxox
Kim, I love the idea of a book club, I’ve been wanting to do a book club for years and never made it happen. It would be so neat to coordinate the books we read though, and talk about them on our blogs. I’m such a sucker for books, I’ll always be a bookworm I think 🙂
