Spanish Weddings!

On Saturday July 24th we went to the first of two weddings this weekend. Juanjo had arrived that same morning and within hours of landing had gotten a haircut, said hello to his family and headed off to this wedding. An old friend of his from high school got married. Weddings, weddings, weddings. It seems you hit a certain age and all your friends start marrying off!

The second of the two weddings in our marathon wedding weekend was in Galicia, the northwesternmost tip of Spain. Pablo and Esperanza got married. Pablo is Juanjo’s friend and former roommate of 3 years and he and Esperanza met in California. The wedding was held at a “pazo”, a kind of castle found in Galicia built by wealthy families in times past. The wedding was truly a happy occasion, and so beautifully done!
