We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family this year. Juanjo learned to carve the turkey. Pablo (the founder of Teambox) and Jenny his wife came and celebrated with us, and after dinner Pablo learned to play the accordion from my dad. It was great to see my family, including my beautiful nieces who are growing up so much (they both changed their hair color – used to be blond!). I was very tired and my back was hurting, so I mostly sat on the couch talking with people; I imagine I’ll help even less at Christmas.<\/p>\n

Pasamos un d\u00eda de Acci\u00f3n de Gracias muy divertido este a\u00f1o con mi familia. Mi cu\u00f1ado le ense\u00f1o a Juanjo a cortar el pavo. Pablo (el fundador de Teambox) y Jenny su mujer vinieron a celebrar con nosotros, y despu\u00e9s de la cena Pablo aprendi\u00f3 a tocar el acordi\u00f3n de mi padre. Fue un gusto ver a toda la familia juntos, incluyendo mis bonitas sorbrinas que est\u00e1n cambiando y madurando tanto (las dos cambiaron el pelo, antes eran rubias). Yo estaba muy cansada y me dolia la espalda del embarazo, as\u00ed que pas\u00e9 mucho tiempo en el sof\u00e1 hablando con gente; me imagino que en Navidades estar\u00e9 incluso mas pegada al sofa!<\/em><\/p>\n

On Friday we went to the Union Square tree lighting, which was packed with people but felt very festive. We went with Alberto and Andrea, and met up with my sister and nephew. Afterwards, we went out to dinner on the Embarcadero with my sister. Then on Saturday we went and saw Cirque du Soleil<\/a> with them. Amazing!<\/p>\n

But the highlight of the weekend was that my friend had her twins! They were born on Thanksgiving day, and we visited them in the hospital on Saturday night. What an incredible feeling to hold the babies, to finally meet them after months of sitting belly-to-belly with my friend. We are so happy everything went well for our friends, and excited to meet our own little guy in just a few months!<\/p>\n

El viernes fuimos a Union Square, a la fiesta que hacen cuando encienden el arbol de Navidad. Habia mucha gente y el ambiente era muy festivo. Fuimos con Andrea y Alberto, que luego se fueron y quedamos con mi hermana y sorbrino. Despu\u00e9s fuimos a cenar en un restaurante en el Embarcadero, debajo del puente de la Bah\u00eda. Se quedaron la noche en SF en un hotel de Union Square, y el s\u00e1bado fuimos a Cirque du Soleil<\/a> con ellos. \u00a1Fue increible!<\/em><\/p>\n

Pero lo mejor del fin de semana fue que mi amiga di\u00f3 la luz a sus mellizos! Nacieron el d\u00eda de Acci\u00f3n de Gracias, y fuimos a verles en el hospital el s\u00e1bado en la noche. Qu\u00e9 sensaci\u00f3n mas increible tener los beb\u00e9s en brazos, conocerles por fin despu\u00e9s de todos los meses embarazada con mi amiga. Estamos muy felices de que todo fuera bien en el parto para nuestros amigos<\/em>, y anciosos de conocer a nuestro bebe cuando llegue el momento en pocos meses!<\/em><\/p>\n
